FATHER WALLY UPDATES BERLIN ROTARY ON WATER SHED PROJECT

Father Wally, along with Kim Holiday of the Ripon Rotary Club were guests at the general membership meeting of Berlin Rotary Monday evening.  Father Wally has been the recipient of monies donated to the Panama Water Shed Project by the Berlin Rotary Club as part of the club’s Rotary International commitment.  Father Wally’s commitment to Rotary International is to bring clean water to the remote villages in Panama.

The Panama Dam and Reservoir Project is the largest water shed system in Central America and covers 17-hundred acres.  The dam is 25-feet high and 80-feet long and when completed will bring clean water to the most remote villages in the jungle.  Two groups are expected to make a work detail in 2012 to complete the dam.
