KWIDZINSKI UPDATED BERLIN ROTARY ON CHAMBER
Berlin Chamber of Commerce Director, Harry Kwidzinski was the guest of Berlin Rotary during their weekly general membership meeting on Monday. Harry updated the membership on the works of Berlin Chamber.
Kwidzinski updated the club on the Pumpkins On Petunia promotion this fall in which the city received special permission from the Wisconsin DOT to close down Huron and Broadway (main) streets for the promotion. This is the first time since the 1930’s and Berlin’s famous Marti Gras (excluding parades) that the main thoroughfare will be closed to street traffic for an extended period of time. One of the highlights of Pumpkins on Petunia will be the antique tractor pull on Saturday along with a tractor parade.
Kwidzinski updated the membership on several grants that had been received including at $75,000 grant for the Fox River Herritage Group to update the locks at Eureka in improve navigation on the Fox River. A $55,000 grant was received for expansion of the senior citizens center and another $508,000 grand was received for repair to Leffort Street.
