BERLIN ROTARY DONATES TO SIRRELL FAMILY

Berlin Rotary President Wayne Banaszak presented a check of $250.00 to Edward and Tami Sirrell to help offset the cost of a walking machine for their son Andrew.

25-year old Andrew Sirrell was in a tragic and almost fatal car accident on June 3, 2011.  He suffered multiple life threatening injuries, the worst being a spinal cord injury that left him a paraplegic.  Andrew is now at home and has been prescribe a walking machine to teach him the skills of putting one foot in front of the other.  Unfortunately, a therapeutic machine such as this costs thousands of dollars.  The Berlin Rotary Club chose to give the Sirrell family a donation in the amount of $250.00 to offset the costs of this machine.

A fund raiser is being planned at Berlin Lanes on October 22, 2011 to raise the needed money for Andrew’s walking machine.  Items are being collected for a silent auction.  If you are interested in donating towards the silent auction, please contact Kristin Albright at (920) 410-6387, or Jackie Hoppa at (920) 203-2654.
